Default What about this Dakota R/T?

2001 club cab R/t, 80k looks nice. No body damage etc. Im having someone look at it tomorrow. he's asking $9950. I will get pics, it is silver. New tranny 1k miles ago. said it was mint inside and out

just be sure to get the VIN# and run it on Carfax to get the full "official" service history on it

talk about a gas guzzler. If something is going to waste that much gas it better be big or fast. And this truck is niether

is that the one wit the 5.8 v8 yea that thing is a gas guzler and it can be a lil fast wit some mods. but hey its better than driving the fbody all the time.

sounds almost exactly like a truck from the baytown/ houston area that i know of. seeing that you are from dallas there probably is no relation.

I actually bought a a 5.2 Dakota club cab last August. I like it, no complaints from me besides the mileage as mentioned. It gets horrible mileage! Also check ball joints and front suspension. These are KNOWN to go bad on these trucks and are expensive to fix unless you do it yourself which would almost require air tools since they are riveted in. Also take a flash light and look down the throttle blades and look for puddled up oil in the intake manifold. This is also a known problem and will drop the mileage horribly since there is a plate on the bottom of the manifold and the gasket goes bad causing a leak. You can go to dakota-durango.com and find out more about these things. Thats the site I use.
