is that the one wit the 5.8 v8 yea that thing is a gas guzler and it can be a lil fast wit some mods. but hey its better than driving the fbody all the time.

I actually bought a a 5.2 Dakota club cab last August. I like it, no complaints from me besides the mileage as mentioned. It gets horrible mileage! Also check ball joints and front suspension. These are KNOWN to go bad on these trucks and are expensive to fix unless you do it yourself which would almost require air tools since they are riveted in. Also take a flash light and look down the throttle blades and look for puddled up oil in the intake manifold. This is also a known problem and will drop the mileage horribly since there is a plate on the bottom of the manifold and the gasket goes bad causing a leak.
