Default Is it just me or is gas geting cheaper?

Today I was riding around and saw that 87 at Shell was only $2.72 a gal. vs $3.00+ a few weeks ago. This is lot better that the $4.oo+ that was predicted

They are expecting a .50/gallone decrease BEFORE July 4, then prices will be determined if ANY hurricanes come....

CLIFF NOTES: US gas supply is going up slowly.

june 2007 66.18per barrel $3.15 per gallon nationwide
june 2006 64.72per barrel $2.84 per gallon nationwide

Do ya'll realize how much money the state would loose if we don't pay that .20 cent cut in per gallon tax???

That's why it was voted down to suspend the tax for the summer. But yet there is a $15 BILLION surplus in the coiffers right now...grrrrrr.

Damn Texas politics!

The oil / gas companies are just doing what they always do. Drop the price a little to make people happy then bump it up higher than it was before the price drop. Don't get too excited about it.

Can gas at 89 octane hurt SS and WS6 since they require 91 or better. Cause gas here is $3.35 for 91. so i was thinking of put 89 or 87 so i can save a little money. 87 is at $3.06 and 89 is at $3.20

seriously...i can't stand it when people bring that retarded debate up. lets see 10 cents a gallon times at most 13 gallons = 1.30! even if its 20 cents difference (20 cents would be about ooo 7 or 8% more than what you would pay for medium) at 2.60. why sacrifice so much power, mileage, and potentially (although highly unlikely) damagin your motor for that? here is the deal... according to my dad, he has been in the buss.. for around 30 years
he told me that about 20 years ago when he started the refineries we doing fine as time progressed the demand for gas increased and started to over load refineries... At one point all the oil companys such as shell, cheveron, texico, ect.... had a chance to build more cat crakers to increase there production only problem was it costed them some$$$ they wern't willing to spend... now there is a surplus of oil in the united states being imported and the refineries cant handle all of it and are having major breakdowns and problems... which is leading to increased gas prices... he travels all over the world working for these companys and say that.. the US is the only place with increasing gas prices... every one else has stayed within 10 us cents of there price for years
