Default tire question

im in the market for some new tires. ive been all over. NTB, discount tire, you name it i was there. My buddy told me about tirerack.com. badass site. lots of tires. any ways i ordered some P275/40ZR-17 Sumitomo HTR Z II. i was wondering if anyone is or has run these tires? and your thoughts.

my buddy has them all around on his 98 ss and they have held up really good for him.

great street tire for the price. handles fairly good in the rain too. i've got the 315/35/17's on the rear of mine right now

You dont have the HTRZ IIs. They dont make them in 315s yet. You are probably thinking about the original HTRZs. I just bought a set for the rear of my car and i love them! They do great in the rain! (of course i have been daily driving on mickey thompson drag radials for a year so anything is better). I think you will like them.

they are good for just daily driving but they wont hook for sh|t on the track

Great tire for the price. Ill probably go with the same ones again next time I need a set.
