Ls1 vs Mach1 shootout!!!
Hey I need anyone who is in the dfw area with a stock-ish Ls1 f-body or Mach1 to post or pm me if you want to race. This debate has been going on for way too long that this race is a "driver's race", I am of the persuasion that it is not. The only way to settle this and put Ls1tech.com back at peace is to have a shootout with high-quality video footage of dig, highway, and punch races between stock and mild bolt-on cars. I already have several people interested on both sides but as it is not wise to post street racing events on the internet, Pm me and I will give you the details.

"Driver's race", my ***! :O
Just because Ford rated it at 305HP, dont mean it is.
Futhermore, just because GM rated our LS1 F-bods at 310HP, dont mean they are .
Fortunantly, for us all numbers work in favor of the LS1.

we kind of did it here in houston. it was the ls1tech smack down or something like that about 2 years ago (i think nine ball set it up). There was 3 different classes. i think my black mach and a yellow mach won every race for the bolt on class. the only one i lost was to the yellow mach (htownmach i think). Anyway I just got another black mach over the weekend and just started ordering parts so in a few weeks i will be ready to play again.

Yeah I just read that thread and it was lame, hopefully it wont happen that way up here. I used to kill mach1s when my car was equal with a stock ls1 so we should be tearing them up, I know ls1s trap higher and that is what is going to matter on the "Mexican Dragstrip" we will be running at.

Mach's can launch on slicks without worries being only bolt ons. A bolt on m6 ls1 launching on slicks does not tend to last long with our 7.5
