Default College Football

It is that time. 1 month away from the season opening, thank God. So who do you like in the Big 12 and NC??

A lot of people are picking OU in the south, but I don't see it with QB inexperience. A&M is going to be tough and could be a dark horse for the Big 12 championship. They have a tough schedule at Miami in non conference, and then at Tech and at Nebraska back to back, and then finish at OU, at Missouri and then Texas at home. Texas has an easy non conference schedule and as easy of a conference schedule as you can hope for. It will be interesting to see both OU and A&M play Miami.

In the Big 12 North, The Big Red Machine is back. They play A&M and at Texas back to back so that will not be easy. Overall the Big 12 is back to being a force again and the Big 12 North is starting to have some contenders.

For the NC I am going to go with Michigan. Why? I don't know. Everybody in the Media is already dry humping USC to win the NC. Apparently nobody looked at their schedule. It isn't that easy.

So what are your thoughts???

I did mention them. They are going to be definete contenders in the South, probably winning it. I have no A&M UT bias. I am a State of Texas fan, and a college football fan in general. My team is slowing creeping out of the basement from the death penalty, and one day will rise to be contenders in the CUSA.

My BCS spoiler this year will be TCU.

i don't see how anyone in the B12 is gonna make it to NC this year.

Texas is solid and have one of the easiest schedules in the country (ranked 110 or so in strength), but.. they don't have any major standouts like VY. and believe me, i'm a diehard longhorn, grad'd there in 95.

a&m... bwhahahahahahaha

uo.. can they ever play legit ball again?

nebraska.. solid team, they really have a shot at the B12 title

I am going to pick the Houston Texans for the 3rd spot in the Big 12!

I dont think they are good enough to beat everyone in our division but could maybe hold their own against some of the college teams.

I rarely get to go to OU games, but my sister actually got me tickets for that game. . .endzone or not, had a decent view...next to the TCU fans...once 4th quarter was literally 1/2 over, they started chanting something about beating the hell out of you. .and you. . .and you. . . IF they had been chanting that for the 1st 3 quarters, wouldn't have bothered me as bad I think...Oh well. If I'm not over it, I need therapy. . .any recommendations?

That was not a bad loss. We turned around the next game and got steamrolled by SMU. If anything that should require therapy. That was a real kick in the nuts.

posted in the SSU thread.

LSU is going to be a team to watch and they have a pretty rowdy schedule as well.

but you know my team is Texas... so anything to do with their success makes me happy

I think Texas should be a big contender for the Big 12 title as well as a BCS bowl game or even the nat'l champ. They have all there skill players coming back along with a more experienced QB. If McCoy can stay healthy there offense will be HARD to stop. I am just worried about the defense, but i know they wont be too bad. They will have outstanding speed on that side so that will help. I just cant wait to see how they do. HOOK'EM

I love how they don't think ND will win more than 1-2 of their first 8 . Espn and many others say they aren't goign to contend in the following years.

Im a die hard Lonhorns fan myself, and would like to see Colt not get knocked on his *** every other play. But Nebraska is going to be a tough one in the B12, Ohio State is going to another team I keep my eye on as well as Michigan
