Default 1st race with new cam

Well, I went to the local spot sat. night, and had a nice lil run in with a 350Z with I/E and a 6spd, went from a 60 roll and I was actually completly shocked by the outcome, We both hit it and he started to pull and got about a 1/5 nose out on me when my verter unlocked and it was night night 350z, next two runs were from low rolls, 20 and a 25, both times, he got out on me pretty about a car or so due to a lil delay in my throttle resonsce from that low of a RPM range, but sucked him up pretty quickly and got him by a ways, hard to tell when he let out of it. was all motor, no N20 was used do to the fact that it's still running a stock tune and prolly wasn't a good idea to push it that hard either, but I couldn't resist, was the 1st time for me to actually lay into it and feel the difference..

Your converter isn't locked at 20MPH it is just the delay in the pc downshifting if you are leaving it in D etc... good kill anyways.

Why do so many people beat on their cars before getting a tune? Does changing the cam really not mess with mid/upper range a/f's that much on a ls1?

Dunno much about an LS1 other than It's alum block, slightly less C.I.'s than a norm 350SBC and mod for mod I can't hang, and everynow and then you get a blessed car that doesn't run pig rich and pouring black smoke out the back after a cam, and guess what, my narrow band is is only reading a tad on the rich side under WOT and no black smoke that I saw..im not beating up on my car at all, it's only driven on the weekends, and it will sit till it goes to G-Force. BTW, mine's an LT car
