Thumbs down Some f-ckhead broke into my truck today

Just a word of warning for those on the Northside of Houston, my Escalade was broken into at the Saltgrass restaurant at 14909 I45 North. It happened during lunch. I never leave anything in plain sight, but they broke in anyways and rummaged through my console. Unfortunately, they found my Glock pistol and passport radar detector. They also stole about 50 CDs in a case, but were kind enough to leave my DVD case.

They broke in by yanking the driver's door handle nearly out of the door. No body or paint damage luckily, should be an easy fix. Pisses me off that they got the gun though, I'd like to use it on them.

Merry Christmas!

Damn bro that sucks, someone screwed my buddies 04 silverado up bad the other night. The tried to get into both extra cab window glasses, now they're loose. Tried to pry the door handles out. Then used something to punch the locks through the key holes in. He was parked @ the first spot @ a comedy club by the front door. Some people have *****.

Insurance won't do **** since none of the items were permanent/attached to the vehicle. Basically, I just donated a radar, music, and pistol to some lowlife ******* that was too f-cking lazy to work and buy his own stuff.

Door handle just needs to be replaced, cheap fix.

Tony,

Check with your homeowner's insurance. They might cover it.
I thought personal belongings (wallets with money in them, guns, purses, etc.) were covered under your car insurance?

Homeowners would cover it, but the deductible is 1% of the home value. That is way more than a pistol and radar costs, unfortunately.

They would need to tow mine away to steal it, I have a Ravelco kill plug installed that would take a few hours to bypass if you didn't blow any fuses while doing so.

I feel your pain. I hope no one gets hurt with your gun.

I work in Greenspoint and cars get jacked out of our parking lot on a regular basis. They mostly just take the whole freaking car though...not break in.

Did you file a police report with the gun's serial #?
Fastest way to find out who stole you're gun. They'll probably try to use it before long for something illegal

Last year one of my client's truck got broken into at Joe's Crab Shack right next door while we were having a lunch meeting. I have had 2 offices near Gunspoint in less than a year, I had one employee robbed at gun point and one hit by a drunk drive. I bought out of the leases.

I hope your belongings turn up. Frakin' thieves!!

Best wishes.

Better notify the proper authorities of the pistols stolen. Especially if it was registered under you. Don't want to be accused of a robbery, or murder you didn't do! Hopefully you got a police report of this as well CYA...

I had my buddies suv broken into just to rummage around finding nothing, along with 6, yes six, other vehicles in the same parking lot right in front of the bar we were at on Thanksgiving night...makes me not even want to drive a nice vehicle to parking lots anymore...

Authorities were notified immediately. But, now I get to return to Saltgrass in a few minutes to wait on the Constable to show up and fill out a report. I think I'll drink beer at the bar while I wait.

Just purchased the gun a month ago, only fired a box of ammo through it. Coming soon to a pawn shop near you!

And it's a shame this society is glamorizing that kind of behavior. Pieces of **** can't work to get their rewards but they'll sure as **** TAKE from others that do. **** pisses me off to no end.
