House got robbed last night!!
Wake up this morning to find a fax from CSPD on the fax machine at my dads shop. Four units got broken into. They kicked in the doors on all four of them. So I wasted a perfect day with police reports, and cleaning up what was left of my home. IF I had been home it would have been a bad day for them (maybe). . Good thing I took all of my firearms with me. They cleaned out my neigbors gun case. I have had vehicles broken into no big deal got insurance life goes on. But sitting in my living room this afternoon I have never felt so violated. Anywho needed to vent just got back and I am tired of driving and thugs. After being in CS for eight years I never saw this one coming.

The thieves act up around Thanks Giving and Xmas around Aggie land. They know the students head out of town and by time they get back the Ahole thieves are long gone! I've lived here since 99 and every year its always the same story around this time of the year!

Sucks when you have to state that they cleaned you out. Glad for the insurance and that you had the guns with you. Never know what they could put them to use for.

sorry to hear about that man. cs usually is pretty safe compared to other places. bryan not so much but still not bad. at least it sounds like the police are on it fairly quickly and they prolly don't have a whole lot else to do right now so hopefully they can find the bastards before you do...for their sake

They act as a deterrent for amatures, but they dont stop a person who know what they are doing. A buddy of mine used to work at one of those security call centers, and he concluded it was a waste of money.
Personally, I have a strong door, camera system, and a dog. If I am at home you can also count an AK-47, and a Glock.
The best advice I can give you is to reinforce your entry points. Buy locks hard to pick, preferably, look for bump proof locks. The dog is your next best bet. People dont want to try to enter the house with huge do in it. I have a Great Dane, and they work great as a deterrent.
