DFW: Need some help with inspection please
#4
Yeah, truck didn't quite work out for me. Went and test drove a few '06-'07 F-150's, Silverado's and Sierra's. They're nice, I just couldn't make that switch.
This is the car, it has the stock wheels though. I need to buy a camera.

does the car have a bad maf on it or just an aftermarket one that throws the code?

Will the MAF code fail the inspection? The service engine light isn't on, but both codes that show up are P0101. Other than that, the ET Street radials are at the wear bars and the car has no cats.
I'm going to try and head up to RPM tomorrow (or today since it's 1am) and see what they can do. I also want to dyno the car for ***** and giggles.

So much for my car passing the OBD-II. It had quite a few "not ready" flags, the clinchers were the catalytic converter and O2's. Luckily for me, the guy did a dry run without charging me.. this was after we argued back and forth about the car "missing."
Oh well, guess I'll have to get the codes tuned out. I may just have the car retuned all together.

Hey Chris, I passed OBD2 test in chicago last year and I havent changed a thing on it. My buddy only changed idle stuff and nothing with codes. I even went in with the ORPs on (shitting my pants hoping they didn't look!) Went on a friday afternoon which helped
Did you pull the battery right before you got the codes checked? All the codes were already "tuned out" Usually you have to put a few miles on the car before taking it in, or the items you listed will show as "not ready". No idea why the maf code is popping up. Did you try cleaning it? I never once got it. If you want, I can send the stock maf down if I still have it and see if that helps? You might need to retune for it though.

Thanks Roy. Nothing has been done to the car since you dropped it off. Hell, I haven't even put gas it in yet. I'm going to take the MAF off today and try cleaning it. I also have another one coming in, just to be on the safe side. If neither of these fixes it, I'll have the tune looked at and go from there. No worries though, all part of having a modified vehicle.
