your car being loud in a 6 speed has mostly to do with driving habit/style...

add another muffler to each side of the duals...

Keep it in a higher Gear and wait until they file a Noise Complaint with the Police.... That car is quiet under 2k Rpms..... Or was before you changed the mufflers...

I drive the car as quiet as I can. usually 3rd gear going 15mph (thats how fast the speed limit is in the nieghborhood, also try to starv it of gas, but that doesnt always work out well). I think what they really hear is when I first start up and reverse out of the driveway. seems to be pretty damn loud at start up. I'm pretty sure its our "newer" neighbor that complained. everyone else seems to not care.

and kevin... if I knew I was going to stay here, I would have kept the other mufflers on. They were alot quieter. I didnt notice the difference much right away, but after a few days, I could tell there was a big difference. Wish I would have kept the mufflers. After seeing your post, that would prob be the cheapest/easiest solution is to buy some quiet "bullet style" mufflers. and just keep my bullets for another time.

also our neighborhood is gated and our street ends in a culdesac, there are never cops in it. but today there was a cop driving right past the house, just got me thinking there going to be waiting for me outside the neighborhood LOL. .

by the way. I honest to god think that they think every car with an exhaust that drives by is mine. They probably just hear a loud car and assume its me. bc with how little the car is driven, I really dont understand why anyone would complain about it.

with my cammed car most of the noise is made at idle, i usually get up to about 30mph or so and turn my car off from a block away and glide into my parking spot when im at home. if i leave after 1 am i usually push the car down the street and then start it. for some reason my formula seemed twice as heavy as the camaro

Unless that cop was a State Trooper I would not be worried and even then a lot of those guys are cool as long as you're not a dick or come across as one.

My last LS1 car was loud has hell (cam, headers, ORY, LM) and the few times I got pulled over the officer was always cool with me and and asking what all I had done to the car, HP and track times.

I'd for sure shut my car off if it was a straight shot to my house. but theres a few turns etc that would make it a little hard.

well i've actually gotten a ticket in my prev car for "no muffler(i had true duals), and no front license plate), unfortunately they are pretty strict around here.

Meybe.. I'd rather pay 70$ a piece rather then have to swap out your whole exhaust until you move.
