I never much enjoyed the show but he was very instrumental in Hot Rod building and I will always respect him for that. RIP

May he rest in peace. A moment of silence for the man that revolutionized the hot rod industry.

Sorry to see a gear head go to the big auto salvage in the sky....my condolences for his family.

Wasn't a big fan of his show, but some of his hot rods were pretty sweet. I just don't see the business sense in televising people rushing thru a build. If I were paying as much as people were paying for his work, I would NOT want it rushed thru like the show depicted.

May he rest in peace.

I guess the story is he fell and had bad bruises on his body and was in the hospital in and out of a coma/sort for a couple weeks and finally died. Huge issues are arising since I guess about 10 people called the shop and said they gave boyd 120k checks and whatever else to build their car, and the money is nowehere to be found. My condolences go out to Boyd and his current wife (not that bitch of an ex wife) and his family.

Everyone also please pray for Dwayne, Boyd's right hand man, a good friend of the family with helping him overcome all of the financial issues he is facing, as well as emotional loss. He is an insane car builder and handled most of Boyd's projects anyways, so if anyone knows a reputable shop, or anything-- he may be looking for work shortly, since the debt Boyd left the shop in, will close it down.

Oh, they are trying to hack up a Shelby to use as his coffin--- fyi.
