Default how much will it cost?

i want to do Pacesetter LT's or kooks Lt's, not decided on doing an X pipe or Y pipe yet... if i did an x it would be over the axle out the back, if i did a y pipe id probly do an electric cutout. How much should i look to spend, i would do the headers myself, however i do not weld so i would have to pay for the rest and i would also get the rear 02's tuned out, im wanting to spend no more then 1k however i can if need be

That's realistic.

Pacesetters with ORY and E-Cutout Cost me about $750 all together... For an LT1...

Thats including band-clamps and all little peices...

I don't see this running you anywhere under $1k. Tuning alone is $400 for a full tune, unless you're talking about just getting the rear O2's turned off then it's like $75.

There's no real reason to go get an all-out full tune for some exhaust work. Unless you're just an absolute perfectionist. I would just tune the rears out.

pacesetter headers and ORY 400-450, private install $140 or do it your self its really not that hard but you may need to cut and weld on the y so idk, manual cut-out $50 install at muffler shop. tune $400, so thats right at ~$1000

with duals that a different story.. my custom 3in. under axle x-pipe set up w/ bullets and magnaflow tips cost about $820 with tax that doesn't include the high flow cats, i all ready have or headers..

so my set up cost me ruffly $1220 not including the tune after the header swap or the header install..

Edit: DAMN i spent $1710 on my setup and that doesnt even include my old ORY, cutouts or the cost of labor i paid to have my cats welded in.. so actuly i paid $2230; i need a drink..

There's no real reason not to get a full tune. Most shops will update your tune for the cost of dyno time, some may even have free retunes. Not only would they be tuning for the exhaust, but also setting shift points and removing torque management. There's other stuff as well, which I have no clue about, but it's worth doing.

i did a full dyno tune with my bolt ons. most people say waste of time, but i disagree. I saw a real differance in the car.

I'm gonna get mine tuned better this summer when I get some extra money. But when I did my exhaust I didn't jump up and add another $500 with a tune. I just dealt with it. I lost a tad on bottom and its a little rich, but didn't hurt drivability or gas mileage.

I dont think you'll see much from the tune either. If you are doing it to get a sticker that's one thing, but i only gained 15rwhp with full bolt ons and a cam so if 10rwhp is worth 500 to you then go ahead. But you will not be really losing a whole lot by not getting it.
