Default My offer was accepted on a home

http://search.har.com/engine/dispSea...9&backButton=Y

I have been house hunting for the last month or so and finally started walking through some. Well the third house that I stepped in happened to be the one that made me feel at home. It is only a 1,300 sq ft home but will be a nice starter and will give me some equity to build my own home in 5-10 years. The best part about the house is that the fridge, tv/entertainment cabinet and gas grill stay. The 51" tv will be going in my room with my 60" plasma taking its place in the living room. My son will now get to chunk out his old 27" to replace it with my Sony flat screen. I hope everything works out as I am extremely tired of paying rent on something that doesn't belong to me.

That is why it is a good time to buy if you have the funds. I am getting in at 6% fixed. It is the fluctuating rates that killed everybody.

Congrats Randy! Does the storage shed stay? That's about $600+ right there.

very nice home! even more fantastic is that tax rate. I wish we were paying 2.3%!!! I think we are at 3.4 or something crazy. You are right - now is the time to buy if you can do it. Our home decreased in value by $14,000 over the past year. It is fine since we are planning on holding onto it past when the market comes back strong (est. 2010) but if we had to sell now, that would be a major bummer!

Almost everything that you see is staying including the storage shed. I will probably be selling that tv/entertainment center to help purchase a new washer/dryer. I sold the set your sister gave me when I left for Iraq. All I want to do so far is put up crown moulding, add some chair rail in the dining room to show seperation of the two, put some OSB on the bottom side of the back patio roof to close it in and maybe some new shelves in my son's room.

Compared to where? I will now live 8 miles from work compared to 15. I work right off of 288/Hwy 6. Theoretically, with my 14mpg truck, I should only use about 5.75 gallons of fuel a week from work to home.
