buddy list kinda speaks for itself....it allows you to be able to remember and find people you like, get along with, or need info from....instead of searching forums for a name you cant remember you can go back to that...use the name and send a pm....hows that fellas?.....FTW

Well that makes sense but wouldn't it make more sense if all you had to do was click on the name from your buddy list to send a pm or email and wouldn't it be a more useful tool if when you went to your buddy list it could show from there if they were logged in or not instead of having to go to another screne to find out? Just my input but I guess that is just how it is.

Wow JT, great minds think alike. We are on the same page. There has got to be an answer for these questions. I think you should be able to look at your buddy list people easy or they come up in different color lettering in the threads or something!

It also depends quite a bit on how the board software is coded.
If it is not a built-in option, or if there is not a pre-coded add-on for it, then it would require hacking of the vBulletin code. Not so sure the buddy list would be on the top of that list for Brains.
