my Account banned for Spamming? it was not spam!!!
My account told me that I have been suspended until 5.11.2008
User that sent infractions to my account is Gearhed, reason being is spam advertisement. As stated below. I believe enough infraction points killed my account
"Dear ibanez7,
You have received an infraction at LS1TECH.
Reason: Spammed Advertisements
-------
Posting in every forum is considered spam.
-------
This infraction is worth 20 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire."
Cause of this:
I posted multiple threads, asking for girls/models and lsx owners to submit pictures of their cars with the models for a coffee table book that I am making.
Agreement made before posts:
Before doing this I emailed PRO STOCK JOHN, asking for his permission and if this would be ok. The pm I recieved back which was also CCed to Nineball stated "yes that would be fine, advertise away" John and I also had an understanding that i would not advertise the book for sale on ls1tech until we further discussed what would be needed with the powers that be.
so my question is, why is my account not locked and I can not recieve or send PMs.
I'm a respected member of the lsx community in IL in the midwest section, and not throwing out cheap spam to hurt ls1tech.
If I was locked out because of starting 5-8 of the same thread (asking for models for the book) in different sections of the forum, I apologize. I was only attempting to get as many people as interested and submit for this book. This is why I posted the thread in multiple regions, to get everyones attention. Just like the calendar.
Can my account be unlocked, free of infractions?
Also please advise how, where and how many threads I can have asking for models and lsx cars for this book. I would still like to have models/lsx submit for this book and sadly it would take too long to call or email everyone I know with lsx cars.
thanks!
jason

While I disagree 110% with what was done, it might have been prudent to include the fact that it was pre-approved.
I'm going to link this thread to IB Adrian and Brains, and the rest of the admin staff to get your account cleared up.

I've sent out an email to the admin crew to have this looked at. Seems like a simple mistake by one of our busiest staff members, cut her a little slack
Hope they take care of you soon man.

cool! thank you admin and thanks PSJ...
I will limit where I post the thread, and not ***** it all over the forum!!!
I figured it was either an oversight or I posted to many!

Jason, it wasn't intentional - I logged on and that was at the top of so many forums and hadn't seen any mention yet of pre-approval from John or Tony. What kicked it was a member posted pictures in response as opposed to following the instruction to PM you, that has gotten out of hand in the past when it comes to hot babes and big jiggly juicy bouncy kick *****...and cars (almost forgot you were asking for that too).
If there is a next time for anyone, please include "Admin Approved" in the title, it helps us all to know what is up.
Apologies and seriously, had no idea the infraction system would self restrict your account. There is still the open thread in the Multimedia forum, everyone interested go check it out

no harm done, thanks. I feel it was definitely my fault for whoring the thread everywhere and not stating it was approved.
I do agree, since the thread is not marked NWS, and instruction where listed to contact me, it would be good if members did, but oh well.
I will re-post the thread with the correct context in various regions, linking it to the multi-media thread!
