For Sale is a very unique piece of history. This is a car you won't find sitting on the corner of every other walmart in your town. Being offered for sale by andrew69_04 is a 2000 Camaro Mecham Z29R build #6 of 12. This car started out its life in AZ where it was modified by Dennis Mecham and his crew. The car was purchased new on 2/2/2001. This car started out as a black Z28 hardtop car with tan cloth interior. It has the Monsoon performance CD stereo system in it. It was then modified by Mecham out of Glendale, AZ. Here are the specs of the camaro Z29R from the Mecham Website.

Z29R history. In 1979 the first Z29R ran the road courses of the Southwest United States setting three track records in six events and qualifying on the pole at Road Atlanta for the SCCA Runoffs. Street versions of the car were produced in such small numbers that these cars remain some of Mecham's rarest creations.

In 1999 the first modern Z29R's were produced. The Z29R includes the full measure of standard and optional performance available in the Mecham T/A. In standard form the Z29R performance levels are elevated in every category: Improved handling, quicker acceleration, effective aerodynamics, and striking appearance.

If you want more, the Z29R has an extensive list of options that provide you the ability to further enhance and individualize your vehicle's appearance and performance capabilities. Once the equipment and appearance decisions are made, each Z29R is series numbered and fully documented.

This car is build #6 of 12 made. It is an original Mecham car verified by Dennis Mecham himself. I have the build sheet and certificate of authentication which are included with the sale of this car.

Here is the history behind the car that we know about. This car was purchased new on 2/2/01 by its first owner. it was driven ~11k miles and was then traded in to a dealership. The car was then sold to its new owner on 8/5/2003 with 14k on the clock. The car was then sold on 12/12/2007 to its third owner with 36,400 miles. The car was wrecked sometime between the date of purchase and sometime in december of 2008. I purchased the car on 3/20/2009 from an insurance company. The car was involved in a front end collision to the drivers side of the car. The car was then shipped to NE where it was professionally rebuilt and has spend the last 11 months of its life. The car is completely built back to the OEM Mecham specs and looks amazing. This car shows a clean carfax but it does infact have a Rebuilt NE title (in hand). This car would make an excellent addition to someones private collection or to that car enthusiast wanting that car that stands out amongst the crowd and is unlike most other f-bodys on the road. The only problem we have found with this car is the rear end gears do whine on decel while in gear but other than that, it runs and drives strong. Im sure there are some things I have missed so please don't hesistate to ask questions.
