WTB: something w/375+rwhp reliable DD 20+mpg A4 under $12k near Pittsburgh
I see them all over the place just not around Pittsburgh, but I want a DD that can keep up with or beat many of these newer cars like the new Mustangs and Hemi's. Looks not important at all, can have over 100k miles no problem, but no rustbuckets. Can have minor damage that won't affect life or reliability of the car. Don't care what it is but want it to be comfortable with A/C, cruise, get 20+mpg, automatic, and very reliable. Can be GTO, Fbody, or even Vette, or whatever. I prefer LSx powered.
I will need evidence of at least 375rwhp like a dyno sheet. I was burned in the past by a guy who claimed a car was cammed and it was not, I will trust nobody's word I am sorry to say. Has to be verifiable by dyno or track trap speed.

Have a 6spd 500 horse power. Located in Charleston, WV., well within driving distance. Pics and details are posted on craigslist Charleston, WV 4554169435. Really interested in moving this car. Contact Carl (304)744-3864.

What kind of mpg you get highway babying it?
That's still like a 6-hour round trip just to view it... any chance at all you ever travel northward for anything?
EDIT: ehh, I see you have some really low gears in it, I doubt it's going to be >20mpg highway. Let me know.

I was getting 28 mpg before I switched cams. I feel like I am still getting 18 - 20 mpg. I am far under your $12k ceiling with excellent build parts such as the rear end, stereo, LS6 motor. I can come to Clarksburg, WV. I think this is a car that you would like, give me a call Mon.

I would like to be clearer on some things. I am only pushing 430 RWHP. Also factory was 342 on the rear end. Most cam grinders suggest at least 390 gears on a standard transmission with larger cams to get higher performance. I went with a Moser 9" and a Wavetrac differential, torque arm, adjustable LCAs, 3 1/2" drive shaft, Spec 3 clutch, LS6 motor, 90 mm Nick Williams TB and 90 mm Fast Intake, 42# injectors, etc...

I am considering. If it were an A4 I'd probably already be on the way to look at it. I have an M6 now and really wanted "comfort" this time around, hence my A/C and A4 requirement LOL.. let me think about it some. I can't believe someone hasn't taken that from you already, sounds like a bargain!

This may interest you. I got 27 mpg on my last small roadtrip I took. Yes its an m6 but it drives like stock until you hit wot. Absolutely nothing wrong with my baby and can be driven everyday if you wanted.

Have an 05 GTO with a cammed LS2, full exhaust (longtubes back) corsa sport exhaust, high flow cats, CAI, Throttle body spacer, 1000 hp aluminum driveshaft, and a diablo programmer. Havent had the car dynod but with the supporting mods its pushing close to 450 at the wheels, could use a better tune to wake it up a lil more, got 21mpg on my recent highway trip. Im a lil above your 12k though looking for 14k. LMK

I can appreciate your zeal, but I'm not too excited about driving 24 hour round trip to just look at a car. I'm sure your car is fast and beautiful and worth every penny I just don't have the time to invest on a "maybe".

1) within an hour or two drive of Pittsburgh
2) PROVABLE 375+ horsepower (dyno or track trap speed)
3) A4 only
4) under $12k
5) Needs to be a good DD (20+MPG, A/C, Cruise, reliable)
Make/model not important. Prefer LSx. Looks not important. Higher Mileage OK (like 100k or so).
