Default Got couple of questions about this ticket i got

So last friday i was in my ls1 and was pulling out of the Ralphs parking lot.... as i was pulling out, i accidentally jumped off the curb, gave a little throttle and my car fishtailed causing the back tires to smoke a little. And i ******* realized that a ******* pig was sitting right there, and therefore pulled me over.
So he gave me a ticket of Improper turn and exhibition of speed.....
so i was wondering whether or not i should just go and fight it or just pay the ticket and take traffic school.... How much do u thing the ticket will cost????
My approximation, like 1G

you will lose, dont even fight it, u cant just accidently do a burnout or accidently take off really fast. you can never win that.

first off, how old are you? if your around 18 or so bring a parent with you, dont try to fight it, but ask if they will take it off the record, and cut down some of the fine. believe it or not bringing a parent to court really helps.

Thinking back... he probably was lying to me huh.

Anyway... you could go the Trial by Written Declaration route...

1. Ask for an extension.
2. Ask for trial by written declaration.
3. Turn it in just before the deadline.

You still have to pay the ticket... but you might get the money back if the dude doesn't respond because he forgot... it worked for me. Then again... he might just remember you in this case... You're probably screwed no matter what.

thats what i would do. take lots of pictures, pics of the curb, find a friend with really low tread on their tires. i would also say the area was wet and maybe take some pics of that too

Your not fucked, you have a shot. I wouldnt bring a parent with you, because you might have some trouble getting granted OR (cant pay). If you play your cards right and get a judge who isnt a dick, I think you have a shot at getting off.

Get a public defender or lawyer. It won't be hard to get a plea deal down to speeding or something more livable. You may need to go to court 10 times but it may be worth it.

Ok. Here is what I have been told go to court and ask the judge for traffic school. It will keep the point off your record and you can do it as many times as you need cuz it's a court appointed traffic school.
