Default what would you do

I am scraping up the cash for a 2nd bird

for 500 bucks i get

a 94 lt1 t top (I soooo miss t tops) trans am (low rise spoiler) red automatic with 120k and blown head gasket. (coolant out exhaust none in oil) would need paint on hood hatch and passenger fender from sun damage.

what i have

a wrecked and repaired (frame work) 94 lt1 hardtop formy (converted to ta) flat black (primer) with 145k and a misfire and a bad waterpump (buddy is mailing me my powdercoated wp and my spare opti) i need to swap out. built trans 3200 rpm stall and 4.10s and a glasstek hood

my dillema

do i get both of them running and have a DD and a track car or do i do a mishmash of drivetrain parts and build one car and part out the other (probably keeping both drivetrains)? or get them both running and sell one?

can you race at the track with a t top car

a friend of mine told me that at firebird and at speedworld you cant race t top cars

nothin wrong with racing a ttop car as long as they're in place. without them in you're considered a convertible

well i bought the car yesterday. drove it to work (less than a mile) and during my shift (6 hrs) i had four offers of cash or trade for the car.

i drove it out to a friends shop and figured out where all the coolant is going . its peeing out a freeze plug. yay for a 500 dollar car that needs a 3 dollar part.

now the question is how hard is it to replace the freeze plug.
