Default how hard would it be to get a title of a car

found a parts car, its pretty much complete, its a v6 called the guy but he doesn't have a title of the car i want it for a roller and want to put in my turbo build into it

How much did you get the parts car for? Whats the going price for one? What color? and how was the condition of it?

well i havn't gotten it yet, im wondering if its gonna be too much trouble getting the title for it since one day i do wanna drive the bitch lol im trying to get it for $400

Get the VIN number and contact the DMV and find out who the vehicle is registered too.

The owner just needs to fill out a form for lost title to sing it over to you its no biggy. Had the same issue when i got the camaro.

the guy that is selling is i guess is a tow company so they're the owner of the car, i did call him and asked him if i can get the title for it and said i can just have to get a lean sale paper work

Just as long as the rear quarter panels are fine, everything else is pretty easy to replace like hood, hatch, front fenders, bumpers, etc...

Exactly...sometimes you'll pick up your car the next day and they've already put a lean on it...

so theoretically, the original owner can buy it off them for $400 by acting like he's someone else? rather than paying them a huge tow bill? lol

i have no idea im checking the vin with my buddie and hes gonna let me know who the car belongs to and if we can do the lean sale on it

Yeah i've bought a car for a friend that he lost street racing a few years back. it was a 91 240sx but this car was auctioned off and i got it for 800. His impound fees to get it out were in the 1300 range.
