Default Poll: Move California to its own section?

I have been looking more and more at the regional forum since moving to California. It occurs to me that:
1. Whether we agree with it or not, we live by a separate set of rules here.
2. These separate rules give us a set of common and unique "problems."
3. We really aren't related to any of the other western states with the possible exception of Nevada and even then, only southern.

I believe it would be beneficial to break off the California section.
Thoughts?

even though its called the western section, it feels more like the so cal section. it's not too often that members from other places chime in much anyway

Why don't we give every state it's own section. That way everyone is seperate. Then we can give each portion of the state it's own subsection too

or worse, since nobody wants to browse through 50 different subforums to find what they are looking for

True. I just hate how nobody ever states where they are from and wants to know how much something will cost to ship.

When I'm looking for something, I hate finding great deals, only to find out it isn't local. I've started to only look in the Western Classifieds because of this.

Then I find a deal on a rear end or something and it is in NorCal or Utah.

CA posters probably make up 2/3s of the postings. On the one hand, it's mostly crap I don't care about since I don't live there and don't fret about emissions and closing our dragstrips. On the other hand, without that crap, the western forums would be pretty dead. ...I voted "yes", anyways.

Most other forums Ive seen divide CA between North and South. There aint anything midway, sorry Fresno, and anything happening up North is usually too far.

Common misconception. California is actually sliding north against the continental place. So basically our San Gabriel mountains ar going to get bigger.

Not gonna happen, just a heads up. California may participate the most in this section, but we aren't going to split off the other states and assign more moderation duties just for ***** and giggles.

And honestly, this board section doesn't even have half the posting activity that the Texas section does.
