Date & Time: Saturday, May 28th, 2005 @ 7:30AM PST.
This cruse begins in Banning, CA on Highway 243 it then proceeds over the San Jacinto mountains to Highway 74 from there, we drive a wide open streatch of highway with very high speed straights which ultimately lead into some very thrilling curves for last 20miles or so of the trek, which ends in Palm Desert. From there we will stop at a resturant where we'll eat and recount the days journey. General info here: http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/Highway74.htm

Directions:
To get to the Highway 243 take the 10 Freeway East bound to Banning and Exit @ the CA-243 exit to Idyllwild. Then at the exit turn right (0.2miles). Then turn left, onto W Lincoln St (HWY 234) and park. We will meet on the side of the road. Once we've all congragated we'll grab some gas and head on down Highway 234!
The highway is for the most part un-guarded by police- not much in the way of hwy patrol, especially through 234. Although towards the end of 234 there are some residential streets which branch off from the highway at this point we'll be cautious until we hit the 74 where we can open it up again!
Please post with your comments and wheather or not you are confirmed for this amazing trek. If you need further directions on how to get to highway 243 post and I will post step by step directions for you.

Coun't me in on this one!! I don't think I'll be able to make it at 7:30 am so is there going to be another spot you guys are gonna meet up at? I can probably be out there by 11:00 (since there's going to be a good amount of traffic).

Actually, put me on the maybe list too. The next test and tune night at Famoso is the same day as the cruise. I really want to get my car out to the track and see what it runs, but if I don't, I'll roll out to the cruise

As of now we for sure have 10 need everyone to show up by at least 7:15am as we will be starting right @ 7:30am. If you have a 2 way radio it would be a good idea to bring it as the lead cars try to warn of trouble and we can keep in touch. If you guys need anything feel free to call my cell @ (951)847-5818. See you there...
