California is the worst state for this kind of stuff!!! ******* California does everything visual, sniffer, **** sometimes they put up random inspections on streets just to smog check cars, damn basterds!! but the good thing is i just got my kooks in, and im just waiting for my catted Y to come in. Ive read in some posts that you should be able to pass the sniffer test with longtubes and a catted Y if your car is stock, i guess im going to find out.

Can't you take it to a referee and, as long as the numbers are fine, they'll pass you?
EDIT: Whoops. I was thinking of an engine swap.
I guess there really is no hope of doing it legit........
