Default true dual exhaust

I got my exhaust setup almost ready I'm getting the pacesetter long tubes 72c2253, 2 maganflow cats 642-94309 and since it its gonna be a true dual x-pipe I was looking at the ultra flo muffler 17554 which is the only dual in/out muffler i can find but I think I can use it as my cross over instead of the x-pipe. Anyone know how that muffler sounds? Or recomendations for other mufflers?

any other mufflers that would sound good. I want it to sound good loud when I get on it but bareable otherwise. that dynomax ultra flow has a 90 day guarantee if you don't like it and I like that it will be my cross over pipe and muffler anyone know anything about em.

I think your cross over pipe would be better placed close to the collectors.

I was gonna have it where the cross over pipe would be anyway right after the cats. I just found this magnaflow dual in/out and it's not too expensive part number 12469. How do maganaflow mufflers sound?

That muffler is 4.5 inches thick. If you put it anywhere near the cats you're going to need a lot of ground clearance.

I have the magnaflow cat back on my Formula, and I really like the sound. The sound has changed a lot since I first put it on, though. It's gotten deeper, and a bit louder. It really sounds nice. When the system was new, you couldn't tell much of a difference from the stock system. The car is also still very quiet on the inside, which I like.

most likely to just go with the magnaflow unless I hear one I like more on the 6th. anyone know about the pacesetter headers with the jet hot coating? you get a life time corrosion warrenty and 3 year finish. is it worth it?

I have heard that the ultra flow x is loud and flows well due to its straight through design and it will get louder as time goes on due to the packing personally i think i am going to go with a magnaflow x and bullets. you do not want chambered mufflers with an x pipe even the 1 chambers that flow very well you want something very straight through. remember you will have the cats and the x pipe and both will quiet your exhaust down. i think a magnaflow might be a little quiet for you.

Magnaflows are the ****! Absolute best mufflers available in my opinion. Cant go wrong with any of em

VERY quiet at idle and part throttle, but theyre straight through so they scream up top still and have ZERO performance loss.

just ordered my pacesetters and gm gaskets yay so far going towards the magnaflow 3 dual in/out. maybe some spiral flows not sure if they'd be too loud. I prolly won't be getting the cats put on right away.
