No smog for Kern County,California???

Default No smog for Kern County,California???

hey guys i jus found out my car is registered at my other house in Kern County, and i thought maybe does that place require smog checks to be done?? i know senoma valley and i think apple valley doesent!!

Yes sir it does. I live in Shafter, (10 min north of Bakersfield), and I need to smog my T/A.

My cuz in bakersfield has to smog his car too.

Yes Kern County needs smog just like every other county.

My parents have a vacation house in Earp, California (near Lake Havasu). The area it is in is called "the Greenbelt" and smog checks are not required there.

One of the reasons that I think the checks are not required there, is that there are no inspection stations within a reasonable distance.

well yea i hav a vacation house in Frazier park right by Bakersfield! i have never actually took my camaro there due to the road to my house being a little rough, but i would love to drive there tho just for the hek of it maybe see what the ls1 could really do on the freeway! hehe

I thought they did away with the select counties with no smog when they introduced Smog II...?

i am gonna have to disagree with that. i am in inyo county and you only smog once for the life of the car. but yes, kern county has smog.

You'll definately have to have a smog check in Kern County. There are some places that do not have the checks.
