Default Engine bay cleaning?!

Recommendations? My engine bay is really dirty and grimmy. I am thinking about using a degreaser and a firemans hose.

simple green good medium bristle brush, some car soap and possibly some degreaser and a good heated pressure washer should do the trick

I've heard bad things about simple green....do a search you'll find something. I just use whatever soap im using on the car and a good brush...start scrubbing. Use a leaf blower to get the water off the engine. Good luck.

Simple green has always worked fine for me... just don't overdo it (use it too often). Make sure you rinse ALL standing simple green off your engine with water (avoid electrical devices) and run it while ur rinsing it off... wait for most of it to dry off, then turn the engine of... or even better, take it for a drive.

Simple dish soap, scrubbrush, toothbrush and a hose. Then leaf blower, compressor to dry it all. Speaking of which i gotta do mine. No need to go all fancy, simplicity works best when working around electrical stuff.

I used this citrus surface cleaner stuff that comes in a tall aerosol can. I can't really say how well it works on thick, grimy ****, but it did a great job cleaning all the dirt and dust and stuff like that off my engine. I sprayed it on, let it sit, worked it in a little if it looked like it needed to be, and used an air compressor to blow it off. Also just used a rag on some parts.
