Default cam with stock clutch??????

hey ppl im looking into getting a f13 cam for my car but im not too sure if the cam + the mods (bolt on's) i have now will be too much for the clutch i have right now...its an OEM clutch, the reason i dont want to change it is because ive had diff clutches b4 and i hated them....this is the best clutch ive had in my car...thats the reason im not going with too much more power... i heard that the clutch can hold up to 400hp. at the momment i have full exhaust and intake, 160 thermostat smoth bellow...any tips?...thanks in advance

on the way home for the first time with 414rwhp my stock clutch quit. Ive heard of peopel with clutch problems, but I went Textralia and havent had any problems with them and Ive beat them down with 5-600rwhp and 600+tq and they still drive real nice. expensive but definitely you get what you pay for.

LS7 Clutch kit is only $420.00 It does a hell of a job holding a 505HP LS7 in the C6 Z06
Should be fine in your application

If you want one of the baddest clutchs out there the Text is hard to beat, but its also 980$

I'd say grab a LS7 setup, more power is useless without a properly functioning clutch

The LS7 setup is nice, and even nicer for the price. But it would be about maxed out. Im sure a number or 6500 rpms launches on slicks would kill it.

If youre going to do a clutch anyway, id get one that you could upgrade power with later on. The tex could take a BEATING with 450rwhp all day long with no issues on whatever tires. Not to mention could still handle it just fine when you add spray and make 600rwhp.

Id just get something that you wont have to replace or ever worry about, if you can afford it. But with plans like a procharger, money doesnt seem to be an issue
