when i turn my steering wheel it sounds like a dying whale! need help
hey what up fellas. well this is my situation about a year ago my power steering pump went out so it was rebuilt in order to save some money cuz i didnt have enough for a brand new one. along with that my rack and pinion was rebuilt as well. so now a year ago i am having the same problem. when i turn my wheel it sounds like a whale is stuck inside my hood and it seems like my power steering pump is leaking. what advice can you give me? do you guys think its that power steering cooler thing. i apologize i know very little about this.

if you have the cooler, check inside the radiator! see if the power steering fluid is mixing in with the coolent or vise versa check your power steering for coolent! also a main possibility is that it can be low! or open the power steering cap and have somebody turn the steering wheel slowly, look for foaming of the fluid! if its foaming its getting air into the system from somewhere, could be the o ring in the pump or the rack!

its normal that its under a bit pressure! if you see a metel peice of pipe on the top radiator hose then you have the cooler! but just double check the fluid level! you can never be sure! and do the thing like i said, turning the steering wheel to check for foam!
