It's based on what the car actually sells for, not what some company thinks your car is worth.
I would use this when buying a car, and to give me a realistic expectation of what I might get if I were selling a car.

sold mine for 22,000 bought it back for 15,000 there was only 16 months between sales, and the car came back with new tires and rims(Zo6 18s) new tranz(i picked it up at the tranz shop) plus old stock rims 4 with an extra set of 2 with MT Drags, plus lots of other goodies and only 1000 miles were put on it in the 16 months, so the prices are way down

I call BS on Edmunds! $11,600 for my 02 Z28! KBB says its $15,400, which is closer to what I believe. I think I could sell my car for somewhere inbetween. But thats not going to happen anytime soon so im not worried.
