It is hardly going to make any difference. Just because the high stall is there doesn't mean you have to use it, just accelerate like you normally would, it will be a little slower than what it use to be but not a big deal.

I still get good MPG with the 4k stall and 3.73s its fine. Just because it stalls higher doesn't mean you have to give it a **** load more gas just to get going. I would say if track isn't a huuuge huuuge concern just go with like a 34-3800 at least. Trust me its not that bad. Just drive normal don't really give it any more gas and it will still get going just fine.

My results with it are in my sig
I went from 19 MPG city to 17-18 MPG with the Vig... Highway mileage will remain the same as stock due to lockup right below 40mph.

From my experience having driven a Yank PT4400(******* beast of a converter), Yank ST 3500 and my Vig 3600(4000 in reality). The Yank 3500 was WAY to mild the PT4400 was a blast to drive not too much different drivability wise from my Vig. I'd always choose the highest converter possible for my combo. With the Nitrous a PT4000/4400 was not a viable option so I scooped up the Vig 3600. But for an N/A setup the PT series is king.
The LT1 cars are make much more torque and low end grunt from the factory compared to there horsepower. They tend to like a smaller converter than their high reving top end loving LSX brothers...
I can't make a suggestion untill I have a better idea of the long term goals of the car. N/A, N20, FI, Stock internal VS H/C. No single part will make the car a beast it's a matter of having a plan and modding accordingly. Optimising your combination is they ket to a killer ET....
Heres some food for thought...

"I do not know, Im not God. It will add more stress to the internals of the tranny because of the extra power that it produces. Some people have awesome luck with thier tranny, others, not so much"
ya this converter choice thing is starting to be come more complicated than i though... glad i dont have to figure it out just yet.
thanks james562 for the info and taking the time to track down that thread.
