are there differences between stock mafs 98-2002? need advice asap! ref! I failed a ref inspection because I have an aftermarket granatelli maf. Before, all they told me was to replace the lid back to stock and i would be all straightened away, however now they tell me the maf is illegal. I will be able to get my hands on a 98 maf to replace it with and take it back to the ref. My question is, will the 98 maf fail inspection on my 2002 camaro? or are each years specific?

i should have mentioned, that all the apparent "illegal" emissions were already on when i purchased it from a dealership that the previous owner had put on.
How does a carb sticker look like, out of curiousity? What is the barcode/number sticker's purpose along the side of the maf? is that it?
