We got Famoso private TRACK DAY 11/22/08 Alright guys i've been trying to put a 1/4 mile track day together for a while now and we finally got a chance to rent out Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield CA. for November 22/08. thats right Famoso!!!! not fontana or irwindale lol

it will be around $105(maybe less if possible but still trying to work on it) for the entire day and will probably be limited to 50-75 cars.
now this track isnt a half assed prepped track like Fontana, this track is famed for its very good prep(sticky enough for us Slugs
), good weather and altitude. plus the cold november mountain air might help a little too 
so what do u guys think of this very exclusive private track rental date?

Update#1 (9-16-08): At this time we are not setting up any bracket racing, there will be grudge matches so you can race heads up with who ever you wish, Tenative start time is 10am for racing and 9am for gates to open/ tech.
Update #2 (9-17-08): ROBERT AT ADVANCED DYNO HAS STEPPED UP! WE WILL BE HAVING A DRAWING FOR A FREE DYNO TUNE (A $450 VALUE) THE DAY OF THE EVENT. Again your prepayment is your entry into the drawing! Big thanks to Robert, and hope to see him out there!
Update #3 (9-18-08[B])RYNE AT CUNNINGHAM MOTORSPORTS HAS STEPPED UP! WE ARE ADDING TO THE DRAWING A CAMSHAFT OF YOUR CHOICE AND A DYNO TUNE TO GO WITH IT (AN $850 VALUE).Also Ryne is going to sponsor the all important and infamous BBQ by Kevin (BlkGoatLV), that's right it is now official that the BBQ master himself is going to be working the grill, thanks to a nice contribution from Cunningham Motorsports!

Update #7 (9-30-08): Harry K at HK Motorsports Dyno Shop has put a free $100 dyno session (baseline dyno) up for the drawing, this can also be redeemed as credit on a full dyno tune (normally $550) he is in Van Nuys CA. Thanks Harry K
Update #8 (10/17/08): This event is going to require that cars be on a DOT tire and be a "street car" This means it should have working lights and DMV registration, also it should be a late model GM LT1 or LSx based. I have been inundated with calls from folks wanting to bring out everything under the sun. Hopefully this clears up the criteria for this event. If you have already signed up and have questions regarding this feel free to PM or e-mail at rexphinneycpa@gmail.com
Update #9 (10/25/08): This concerns the BBQ lunch, Each paid participant will be given 2 lunch tickets. Additional lunch tickets will be avaliable for $5 at the track. I would like to get an idea of how many lunches we need so if you know you are going to want MORE THAN 2 tickets please send an E-mail to rexphinneycpa@gmail.com. Only e-mail if you need more than two, and the $5 will be payed at the track, don't start sending me $5 paypal payments! Make sure to note your name or # on the list in your e-mail. Thank you.
Update #10 (10/25/08): This concerns the possibility of rain. I have secured Sunday the November 23rd as an alternate date. If Saturday gets rained out we are going to try it again the very next day, hopefully this will save out of towners from having to make a second trip months later. So clear the whole weekend now!

Update #12 (11/19/08): Ed Marx from RPS Clutches is planning on giving a 20% off coupon to all paid participants to this event, look for these coupons attached to your tech card at the front gate when you arrive! no sorry thats the date that they gave us. i guess sunday was busy or booked.
even with 100 cars ur going to get in a whole lot. when we went to their TnT march weekend (over 100 cars) i got over 5 runs and i was taking my time leaving a couple of hours of cool down so i wouldnt hot lap my car. so if one would like im sure u can get close to 10 or more runs within the whole day.

before this is open to the LS1tech, Vette guys and shop tuners and owners, i wanted to gauge the interest of this event.
it will be around $105(maybe less if possible but still trying to work on it) for the entire day and will probably be limited to 50-75 cars.

and what do they think of this event. maybe they can help sponsor this event.
and hopefully we can see some of those track cars pump out some killer times at this track.
