Default My LS1 Front End for your LT1 Front End!

I'm doing a cam change soon, so I'm thinking I mite as well tear down the front end and change it back to the LT1 front end.

I have an LS1 front end painted red with an SS Hood and billet grille, the headlight have also had the "whistler" mod performed on them (they look really good). The hood and front bumper cover could use paint, but you should probably have them all painted to match your car anyway.

I would like an LT1 front end with an SS Hood in return. If you don't have the SS hood we can easily figure something out - it really isn't that big of a deal.

So anyone here want to trade front ends? Or know of someone who does?

The whole swap is pretty easy, you can find tutorials everywhere.

Thanks.

Also, I would prefer local, but I'll ship if you cover both ways (sorry, but it's still a great deal for you).

I'll have to shop around and see what it's going to cost to get a LT1 front end, I'll have to get back to you. Also shipping would probably suck.

Also, I don't believe the SS hood is OEM but I'm not positive. You can see a picture by clicking on the link in my signature (1993 Camaro Z..).

It would include everything I won't need anymore, but I think a LT1 front end is going to cost me about $500 so I'd be losing out.

Whoever did the swap didn't take their time lining up anything.

Yes.

"One thing you have to understand is once you strip the cars down to the frame they are the same car even down to the screw holes... You don?t need to do any drilling or fabricating of any parts what so ever as long as you have all of the main parts and brackets even the lights use the same plugs."

The swap is really simple. I just did one recently on my LT1. I changed it to new front end. Main things that need to change are the crossmember support, Foam support, and headlight brackets. The bumper and fenders line up perfectly.

Your hood is made by RK Sport. Its a replica but fits just fine, Like mentioned his was not aligned. If all things are lined up correctly there will be no gaps.

Damn. Too bad you didn't keep your pieces, I would have picked them up in a heartbeat.
