I recommend newport. Its right down Beach, so its not that bad a drive and its pretty nice there. Clean. Cleaner than Huntington. Either that or Laguna beach.

Laguna sometimes gets real packed (parking wise) other than that its real clean. Huntington is dirty but the state beach is pretty clean(not as clean as Laguna, Redondo, or Corona Del Mar)

newport was "closed" where....what street? thats weird...didnt hear abt any contamiations latley....

laguna is great if ur into snorkling or scuba...although if ur seeing all that crap in the water right now means conditions are less than steller for that...vis is prolly less than 5'...but if u have kids, shaws cove or cresent bay (both within laguna beach) are great for tide pools and stickin ur fingers in the sea anenomees (sp?)

Lol i dont know anything about it we turned into some parking lot a couple miles past the ferrari dealership on some road going real close to laguna. There was Noone at newport when we went, and there were gates where you would turn in that said closed. I think we went down Beach BLVD, and then turned left when it dead ended. We passes a Huge *** Factory on the left and stayed on that road the whole time.

That's Huntington. Keep going south till you hit Newport Blvd and make a right. That'll take you down to the pier and Balboa.
