what is a fair price for this formula?
i'm looking to buy a friend's car, its a 98 formula hardtop factory 6sp car..red with a primer quarter/part of the door..and silver fender thanks to a deer (repair done, needs paint)
124k ish miles cloth interior in decent condition..clean title and such..
bad however..its been essentially sitting for the better part of 2 years, and it has no transmission or components for the transmission...(even the console/pedals and such have been removed in preparation for an auto)
car ran very well when it was parked but current condition is essentially unknown due to it sitting
whats a fair price to us both?
here's a pic of it when it was running a couple years ago right after the deer hit it and body was repaired

This car needs paint, has no tranny, and has over 100k miles plus Lord knows what. $2,000 is more than fair. It is almost a 'parts car' at this point.
I have to ask why you would even bother. Putting thousands into this car, unless you can do all the work yourself, takes you into territory where you can buy a complete running LS1 car with about the same mileage. Seems like a big headache.

i wanted it for no other reason then its currently a 3 owner car..and i was the 2nd owner
i can indeed do all the work myself short of paint..and i have a complete t56 setup laying around..
thats not to say i'm willing to be impulsive or stupid with how much to pay for it..its still gotta make financial sense or at least break me even with what i can buy one that doesn't need all this work
