Not worth it imo, definately not a 12k difference between that and your current ride. That Auburn rear end will blow with that m6 before your a4 breaks your current rear end. As long as you have an 02, I would just stick with that. Your's has lower mileage and about another $6k (instead of adding $12k for the trade) would make you never want to give it up!

Im not sure what you meant, my current car has 80,000kms on it, the one im looking at has 14000kms on it. Ya the price does seem pretty high to me, but apparently there are only 250 of these available in Canada, and a 1 owner car with this low mileage is pretty tempting, although probably not worth it lol.

If you ask me that's too much. I Know the value of f-bodys changes based on location but i bought my 01 ss with 10,500 mile on it for 16,500. If that thing is in excellent condition and its everything you say it is with under 9,000 miles i wanna say 18-20k would be a FAIR deal. It all comes down to how much its worth to You though, and how much your willing to pay. It seems like a really nice SS, i will say that. Good luck

I was looking at the car too myself since I'm in the same area as you, the low kms is appealing but the price is way over reached... 18-20 would be more acceptable for sure... Ls1 f-bodies are rare around here though.

My understanding is that the Canadian market is higher priced than the U.S. when it comes to these cars. That is a solid $20,000 car in the U.S. and some dealers would ask more for sub 10,000 miles examples like this. You don't give enough info about your own car, other than mileage, which isn't too bad. Is the paint bad or any body issues? What is the overall condition?? How many owners has it had? Is the car accident free? What does it need? So many issues to address before giving an opinion on whether $12,000 plus your car is a decent deal. If your car is still a sweet one owner with minimal issues, then NO, that is not a good deal. If your car is beaten and just average with a bad history, then yeah, this deal may be just what you are looking for. Need a lot more info if you are serious about the purchase.

Well it is obvious the dealer is sweetening the deal a lot by offering so much for your current ride. It balances out either way. Ask lower, like $20k, and offer you $8k for your car, or ask high l and offer more which is what he is doing right now. Having described your car honestly here (tough to do and I commend you for that) it seems to me that it would be worth $12,000 to get that 'like new' SS. Let's face it, that 'like new' SS was a $30,000+ car just 8,000 miles ago. Picking it up for $12,000 and your car sounds OK to me. You get your 6 speed and a beautiful car to enjoy for many, many years. Best of luck with your decision.

i have to agree they ARE giving you a pretty good deal on the trade in. If you really like the car go for it, i would personally try and bring down the price though. BTW have you even tried to see if they will come down at all on the price? Good luck.

Easy there brosquee. Some people don't sit around and post all day.
To the OP, the car he bought is not similar to the one you are looking at. Clean carfax and well taken care of, but many more miles. I think his point was a deal can be had at any price/mileage range if you are willing to wait. But if you've decided that you actually have to have this one, I personally would try to get him down to around 18k. If you meet somewhere in the middle and you are happy - that's all that matters.
