98 Camaro SS SLP #500
Trying to see what my car is worth, it's a 98 Camaro SS, its car #500 varified through SLP. This car does have the WU8 rpo code as well. The car has 130,000 miles on it. It's a black hardtop A4 with blk/tan interior. The car has a few mods, SLP Lid & MAF, Dynatech Longtubes, Hi-Flow Cats, and Borla Exhaust, MSD wires, Subframe Connecters, HIDs and Optima Redtop Battery. The car runs flawlessly, heat and a/c work, all the air/egr components are intact as well. The paint is in excellent condition other than a few scratches here and there.

Pictures in the rain don't help but the car has too much mileage to warrant any special pricing anyway. It should be priced in the 'normal' price guide ranges of $5,500 - $6,500. Trade-in values are in the low $4,000 area.

Thanks for your comment, I didn't know that a 98 with 130,000 miles was too much. I thought it was below average in terms of mileage. I see 01s and 02s with similar mileage on here. Added a couple more photos from a day it wasn't raining. Car is 1 of 599 Hardtop SS built in 98.

That mileage isn't too much for your average 14 year old car. but you are stressing numbers like the car is rare and worth more. Collectors, or even people looking for something different, won't be paying extra $$ for any car with those miles. Collectors are looking for very low mileage, 'near mint' condition cars and will pay premiums for those examples. If your car had 20,000 miles on it, then you could ask in the mid teens easily and probably get it. Sorry if these posts are disappointing but I'm sure you want accuracy and not false hopes.

Honestly, just seeing what the car is worth. I don't plan to sell the car unless I'm made an offer I can't refuse. My concern was, it seemed like you were treating it as the run of the mill Z28. Personally I wouldn't expect more than $7500 on a good day. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond. Your input is appreciated.

It is a run of the mill Z28...... Anyone concerned about having a numbered SS will buy a low mileage car and anyone wanting the SS look will buy a similar mileage car for $4500 and put an SS hood on it.

Sorry it was just my opinion. I thought that's what you wanted. I'd love an SS but for a guy like me I'd be happy with either a Z28 or an SS I just want an auto to build a drag car with that's why I'm selling the Z06.
