Not sure I understand the use of the word maggied. I looked it up http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Maggied but still don't understand the connection to a 4th gen Camaro.
Unless your '01 SS is somehow different from all the other somewhat heavily modded Camaros out there, then the price should be in the $9,000 area if in fair to good condition with those 80k miles. You can certainly ask $9,950 in an ad and allow for some negotiation. Mods are bringing nothing extra most of the time. You can read the numerous posts here over the years about the lack of decent $$ (sales) for modified rides. The buyer's market for a Camaro such as yours is extremely small and limited to mostly younger males that just don't have the cash laying around. GLWS!

It means it has a Manguson PD Supercharger. I'd throw it up for like $15,000 and go from there. Not the lowest miles, but they're not that high. Plus like you said, not a lot of Maggied 4th Gen's rolling around.

Thank you guys!! Always learning something.
If you feel the supercharger makes the car worth that much more I'd really like to hear about a final sales price 2kblackgtp, so I'll know for the future. Personally I can't see $6k more but I don't have the resources to say otherwise.

You really don't have a clue what anything is worth unless it is a low mileage, stock car. I buy and sell these cars for a living and from what I see on here your prices are usually way off. If you don't KNOW, why try to tell people what their stuff is worth?

Wow! Where did this come from after posting here for the past 5+ years? Hate to upset you my friend, but my pricing is spot on although I tend to be on the low side to protect buyers from overpaying. That's a good thing. I really hate to see young people overpay. When I don't know, I say so, just like here in this thread. You learn all the time. My opinions are valid and justified from decades of dealing with all types of cars. I'll never back off giving opinions. I take heat from sellers of salvage title cars too. I hope you are not one of those sellers, thinking there is no problem selling salvage cars for regular pricing. That's just evil IMO. I have too much experience for that nonsense and I love sharing that experience for those that want to hear another voice. It's my hobby and almost a full time hobby for the past 11 years after I retired. . If you could see my mailbox with all the personal messages and 'thanks' you would be quite impressed. I do a real good job helping out many posters here. Some posters actually look forward to my input. Your comments are not appreciated and lack any basis in fact. My pricing is also are also very comparable to price guide values. Are NADA and KBB wrong too? While not perfect they are extremely helpful tools in making decisions. I seriously research each car and try to individualize them for the person interested in them, from the number of owners, mods, maintenance, and condition, etc... How can you fault that?? It's a very thorough process. If you really sell cars all the time, just what are you charging?? If you are retail, of course our numbers won't mesh. I don't expect dealers to sell cars at 'private party' pricing. If you really feel the OP can get more than what I suggested above, let's hear it. What price can he sell the car for? Will buyers be rushing out to buy his 80,000 miles maggied Camaro for $15,000? I really want to know. The general consensus has been that you rarely get any mod $$ back when you sell a car. It's been this way since March '08 when the economy tanked. I certainly don't recommend heavily modded cars to anyone unless the price is right. Now if they are freshly built cars by a reputable builder, like the ones you have there in the Concord/ Mooresville/ Charlotte area, then that could be a different story and pricing structure. That isn't the case here on this site. We are talking to posters from every state and Canada, and I take that into consideration.

I didn't realize this was going to turn into a thread with people beating on each other, I was just looking for opinions and maybe some pricing debate. To elaborate, my Camaro is in great shape, the magnacharger kits themselves ran about $7k, plus all the other mods I have. I honestly would not sell my car for what someone would sell it for stock.

I heard the "mods don't add to value" line a hundred time when I sold my last car, usually followed by them offering me book value for the car as it sat. So I told them I'd be happy to sell for book, I would just take off all the aftermarket parts and replace with the stock components so they could have the stock car for the stock car price. Suddenly, those people weren't interested anymore or would fight that they should get the car with all the upgrades. I think that is evidence that when dealing with car enthusiasts, mods are worth something IMO and using the phrase "mods don't add to value" is usually used by people who are interested, but are trying to get more for their money at the expense of trying to screw someone else. Maybe the phrase should be more tailored to reference people who try to ask book for the car plus all the value of what they paid new for all the upgrades.
