Default Is $8500 too high for this?

My 99' T/A with 75k on it was recently totalled (RIP old girl). I'm looking for another T/A. I want another one with under 80k, but this is all I can find in Arizona (see attached pic below). Guy says everything works perfect, always garaged, never abused, etc. Is a 2002 T/A with 105,000k just asking for trouble?

Seems a little high but usually the smarter people on CL list their cars higher to account for the super lowballers offering 50% of list price.

That's what I thought too, but he says he "won't take a penny less" than the asking price of $8500. I just don't want to buy this and then have to immediately fix the AC, and the Tranny, and... Plus tack on another $600 to have my white WS6 hood repainted red to put on this car. So $9100 gets me an 02 T/A with a WS6 hood and 105k miles...?

Not worth it. Offer him no more than $6500 and when he is ready to actually sell the car, give you a ring. Hes asking retail WS6 money for a regular TA with 105k miles. MAYBE if he could provide proof of all his maintenance then I'd go to 7k but not a penny more.

Just as a reference, F-Bodies are priced unusually high in Chicagoland and my now friend got a 1 owner 98 Trans Am with 101k miles in great shape for $7k out the door from a small dealership.

He now says that he "needs the weekend" to decide if he really wants to sell it... This is the only nice-looking T/A for sale in Arizona that is less than $15,000! (I kid you not!) Heck, cars with a salvage title and 80k+ miles are being listed for over 9 grand... I looked for a year to find my 99 T/A with 65k miles for $7900. But I'm at two weeks car-less, so I can't play hardball for much longer...

Just make sure the "needs the weekend" to decide isn't, I need the weekend to take some stuff out

I bought a 98 Trans am for 6500 with 80k in Canada where every bird is 15k+ and the car is in great shape, accept for an a/c repair and stone chips on front bumper. I agree with 6.5 or 7 if perfect. Be patient dude, get a crappy used car for the a bit you have to. If your anything like me, your gonna spend money lots on the Trans Am as time goes on so save as much as you can on the purchase.

Yeah I found my pristine 99 with 65K for $7900. Only thing is that it took me 13 months to find it...
