Default Value my birds

Been trying to sell these for some time. Slap me into reality of I'm asking too much.

I've had offers of $7500 for the vert.

Black car is a tough sell due to mods I'm sure.

Should I figure on 16k for the pair and just deal with the loss?

Thanks guys.

I think you're fairly close. In my area, money is as tight as I have ever seen. Something that shocked me is how anti convertible people are. I've had at least 5 people tell me that they would take it if it was a T-top.

The convertible is going to be hard to sell due to its mileage, the condition looks to be above average. This car does not have many modifications, although the tires are new Sumitomo's are not Michelins. I would say you would be fortunate to get $10 K.

The black car is rough. It needs its engine bay completely shampooed, the interior needs a good cleaning and the paint is chipped and faded not to mention the boom box in the rear and the extensive modifications such as a Magic Stick 4 camshaft. This will turn away a lot of potential buyers. The closer the car is to stock and the cleaner the car is, the more money and faster it sells. You have a lot of competition in your area for a black Trans Am. Maybe $6K.

Good luck.

I think $8K for the vert.

The black one, ehh. Couple of things....Holy FNG HOOD batman!! You got an 8-71 under there or something? Which hood does it come with? You show both which is confusing. Wheels, same thing. Why show pics of one if you're selling with another. And that sub box. O. M. G. DUDE. GET THAT THING OUT OF THERE!!!! It's an immediate turn off, just looks junky and trashy. With chips and scratches and damage I think $5,500 - $6,000 is about right. Clean it up, fix damage you get more but it's gonna cost you. Probably not worth it.

Yeah stock hood is on. Cowl was sold to a member in PA. There were big plans (aren't there always?). But life happened back in the day. Yeah the sub needs to be in a stealth box. I built it when I was like 21 when I got the car. Back when such things were "things" lol.

It's just an old build that saw new life last year with all the UMI stuff etc. With intentions of playing at Palmer, NHMS. Work is just too much right now. And probably into the forseeable future.

May just cut my losses. Sell the vert. Clean up the black car, toss a smaller cam in. Put it back in the barn.

$7500 offer on the vert is very cheap imo...sounds like KBB. 83K isn't all that many miles imo. For the past 2 summers a 45K-55K mile 2001/2002 WS6 A4 vert was worth around $13K-$14.5K. Can't believe another 30K miles drops that $6,000. It should be a $2K+ difference. $8000+ is what a clean 2001/2002 SS vert with 80K miles should probably fetch. The WS6 is another $1,500 more. $10K is probably fair though. Nearly all the Ebay bidders will bid to rip it. If you're asking $10K....they probably won't pay it. Ask $11K or even $10,750.

As far as no vert buyers? Well, your car is exactly what I had been looking for in the northeast and couldn't find for a decent price....WS6 A4 vert. Finally gave up looking. There are buyers for those....though not so much as winter approaches. While there may be more demand for a coupe with TTop, there's no doubt in my mind the verts bring more money...though I'm sure many here will disagree.

$16K for the pair might be fair though I value at more than the coupe.

The fact the vert has had 5 owners, 2 of which I believe are dealers. It has a "minor" issue on its record scares people. I think.

The tops been replaced and it has all aftermarket stereo. My thoughts are it got vandalized.
It's ridiculously clean. Other than being 14 years old. With stock worn out suspension.

You really need to get rid of the pics with the hood and wheels, it's false advertising. And the sub. Just take it out completely if you plan on selling it, no one is going to care if it has a sub or not regardless of where it is located in the car.

It sounds like a pretty fun car if you can afford to keep it.

Consider parting it out? How much did all of that UMI stuff run you?

What's wrong with showing happier days. Haha.
I'll pull the beauty shot.
Parting out? I probably put 6k into it last year. Lol.
An entire UMI catalog plus konis and stranos arent cheap.

Aren't "clean" rollers going for 6k? Or was that a few years ago? It's been a while since I've been on here, clearly.

The convertible sure looks nice but the market is thin, and the time of year is absolutely the worse with the holidays and winter soon here.
If you were able to get $16k for both I would not turn it down.
GLWS!!

Took my lumps. Vert is gone. $7500.
Guy looked it over and saw the letter from ASC. "This is clean, I didn't think it was anything special" "It's really one of 55?"

Yes. Get it away from me before I have a coronary.
As he's trying to light up the tires at every stop sign on the test drive.
Poor car.

So now I have a new set of 3pt umi subframes to sell and founders lcas&phb as well.

I'll bust out the pc on the black car. New wheels, wing, cam. Enjoy her again.

Thanks guys.

Good for you, sometimes you have to put some money in them and drive them.
