Default What could happen?

I have 17x11s. Driver side got a nail on middle thread and leaking. Could I drive on spare on driver side and 17x11 on passenger side without damaging any other components such as rear or anything else? No tire shop here in this **** hole town to take tire off rim. Need advice asap. Commute back home tomorrow morning is 70 miles.

The local shops should be able to plug the tire

If you absolutely can't find anyone, I'd stick one a front out back because the diameter will be closer I would think, and put the donut up front.

Well if you have a full spare tire I would say no problem, but with the dounut tire. Probally not. Plus 70 miles on a dounut is not the best idea either. I am sure there is a Walmart. In the auto section there is plug kits you can buy and plug it. Then when you get out of the **** hole town and find a place to patch it they can take the plug out and patch it. GM dealerships can do it. I work at one and I did my ZR1 17x11. It is the fact of the dealer taking responsibilties of messing up that wide *** wheel.

The local shop here doesn't have the machine to take tire off rim. I found a shop thats 2 miles out off my district. I'm taking it there as soon as it slows down. They're charging $20!!! I couldn't believe it. Oh well, can't really get pissy about it. My tire shop close to my house charges me $10 or sometimes does it for free since we're buddies and all. I usually just tip the guy who does the tire. I'll let you know how it went. Thanks all for your ideas.

Well no biggie. Took tire off and transported it in the unit to the tire shop. Done. So here's a new dilema. Should I chunk the spare or keep it? The stock jack worked awesome on the subframe connector. Haven't had to change a tire in years. Usually notice a nail or screw and head straight to tire shop.

Run over to wal mart and pick up a tire repair kit, and plug the hole, its really easy.
