Awesome wheels, now what do I put them on?
I recently picked up this insane set of Simmons B45s from a guy who built a car in the style of the IMSA 320i Turbo below. He built the car with the best stuff and the wheels are no exception. As he was finishing, someone gave him an offer he couldn't refuse for the car and didn't want the wheels and tires.
That was about ten years ago. Two of the tires were mounted for fitment purposes but the wheels and tires are brand new. I have yet to accurately measure the offset of the wheels but it's low, close to zero. 15x10 fronts, 15x13 rears. The tires are amazing. 285s up front and 345s in the back. I'm going to try to find out exactly how old they are but there is NO dry rot and the tires are as soft as my new A048s.
I found these wheels while looking for an E30, and I still want one but this would be pretty extreme and I'd have to do a 5-lug conversion. However, the BMW bolt pattern is extremely close to most GM 5-lugs so I'm thinking about something American. What do you guys think I should do? Total budget would be limited to $8K or so at this point and four seats are mandatory, four doors preferred.

Those are not going to fit or look right on an E30, I've had 4 of them lol... With that kinda offset and width you're going to need a big widebody kit or massive flares to tuck them or its going to look like some hood ride with reversed wire wheels from the back/front...
Those would look bad *** on an old school porsche 911 but that probably exceeds your $8000 price cap...

Ok they look better than I thought they would but they are by far overkill and would probably hinder the performance rather than to help it. Kinda hotwheels looking though. I dunno, I was a big fan of BBS RS's on my E30's with staggered lips in back, just not that big. Looks mean though and I bet it could hold its own around some curves (not that the E30's need that much help around corners anyway) lol.

Cool looking wheels!!
Group A/Autotrends used to sell those wheels. Worst case, you could get different shells put on those centers, so they'd easily fit different cars.
Those Yoko tires were the hot tp at one time, but since they're 10 years old, even though unused, I'd be careful about doing any "spirited" driving with them.

What about a 3rd gen Camaro? I have no idea about the width, but the bolt pattern would work, and the style wouldn't look weird...they're not that different (style-wise) from some of the wheels you could get on 3rd gens.

The previous owner tried to test-fit them on his son's 3rd gen but apparently they try to occupy the same space as the strut. That said, I might not be opposed to a third-gen with a coilover conversion in the front as I agree that the style would suit the car quite well. But even with all that said, I really need four doors.

what about a 80's model malibu wagon? You can get them really cheap and you will have extra money to mod the car to your liking. For 8k you could probably get the car, mini tub, and do a motor swap.
