Default c5 Zo6's or Zr1's?

Hey, i'm currently looking for wheels for my PEWTER camaro. I either want 17x9.5 (front) and 17x11 (rear)(i would be going with 315's) Zr1's OR 17x9.5 (front) and 18x10.5 (rear)(295's in the rear) C5 Zo6's. Which one you think i should go with? Also what modifications would i need to do for each wheel so they don't rub? I hear with the zr1's i have to fender roll, would i have to do that with the zo6's also? Thanks

from what ive heard it all depends on the offset most people chose 50mm thats what id did and the fit nicely depends on the tires too most 315s fit good with minor if any BFH or cutting the bumpstop

Get what wheels you like, not what people on here say to get. IMHO I dont like either one of them.

you wouldnt have to do anything to the z06 wheels..i have 20x10s in the rear with 285's and I dont have any problems. I would actually go with some Zr1's..thats what I'm trying to do right now.

I'm running the stock sized Z06ers on mine. I prefer them, but if you like both wheels equally, go with ZR1s. The reason I say is because tire prices for 18" wheels should be considered pocket rape.

Not pewter, but it's a Camaro

ZR1s on pewter look nice. My old car...

It had deep center ZR1s

Current car with deep lip ZR1s - both cars are 17x11 rears...

Both sets require an adjustable panhard bar, I rolled the fender lips on both cars, and beat in the front inner edge of the wheel well.

i could care less if C5 Z06 and ZR1 are played out.. its cuz they look good!! if u go with C5 Z06 u have to go with 18's. the look of a camaro lowered with 18" C5 Z06...

Thanks for the plug . Click on my signature to see bigger photo's. I love how they look but they aren't quite as unique as they used to be back in 2002 when I was one of the few F-bodies to have them.

MadIce,

What size tires are you running? How much work did you do on the rears to get them to fit?

275/35/18 & 295/35/18. Just a little BFH mod to the rear, but minimal, this could be avoided with a 53-50mm offset.

no doubt madice, very nice car. the ZR1 are just too plain looking. i think if the ZR1 spokes were a tad bit thinner and maybe longer, it would look better. but a 18" chrome C5 Z06 looks way better than a plain 17" zr1 rim.
