From my reading it goes like this--
Grip: MT > BFG > Nitto
Life: Nitto > BFG > MT
I also read if you are driving on the streets with these tires you don't want to be caught in the rain in MTs ever, BFGs are manageable but not good in rain, and Nittos are similar to any other street tire until they have lost some tread at which point they are just as bad as the rest.
Again, this is from the reading I have done, not personal experience.

i have bfg's and i think they are a better all around tire..if your car is a weekend warrior get the et's if its a FULL TIME DD get the nittos, and if you drive it a lot but prefer to get it out when its fairly nice out get the bfg's...
with my mods this weekend i did a small burnout and deadhooked on the street with my bfg's i actually yanked a pullied 03 cobra with hoosier qtp's in the process...

i know you didnt ask but im going to tell you ne ways... i personaly think the best street setup is
BFG Eagle F1 gsd3 275/40/r17's on the front (255$ each) BUT THEY ARE GREAT
Nitto nt555r drag radial "..." on the rear.(175$ each) best tread life out of all of them and they still hook, from a 20 roll in 1st, i wont spin.

i voted nittos becuase it sounds like you are gonna be driving the car quite a bit still but still want some grip and you just have some minor bolt-ons right now. i had the nittos when the car was stock and then with all the mods i have now and they serve you well for a bolt on car. decent grip on the street and with a good burnout will hook up at the strip.

Have you looked into Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's? I've got them on the rear and get great wet and dry traction with them. I don't have a truck load of horsepower like some of these guys, but still, they are good tires.
