Any one running these BFG G-Force sport tires?
Time for some street tires. Any one running these or have a better suggestion. I want something that I can drive just in case I get stuck in the rain. Also can I go any wider than 255 50 16 on the stock rim?

I have them as temp tires on the back of my car right now. 255/50/16's. Their okay I guess. As for traction, they are still a radial tire. 3 hours ago I left about a 100ft patch and I had to let off a little to get it to stop. I've been caught in the rain once and it seemed to do good. I think they look like ***. Looks like a hill-billy 4x4 tire, but thats only my opinion.
Best street tire I ever had were the Kumho Ecsta ASX's. Great ride, quite, and good wearing tire. You would have to get a 245/50 though.

Yes I have them they're friggen awesome tires for the price. Hook pretty good nice and sticky and they bite in the corners! I run 275/40-R17's all around and theyre pretty damn good in the rain as long as you don't punch it or drive like a nut.

You're going to get a million responses by people telling you to run this or run that because that's the one set of tires they've purchased.
I've run the best stuff from BFG, Firestone, Yokohama, etc. and hands down the best performance street/highway dry/wet tire out there is Goodyear's GSD-3. They're aren't super soft nor rock hard. They perform at least 80% of their dry level of performance in the rain and they will last you a minimum 25,000+ miles with agressive (non-burnout) driving. You're going to pay a little more but you get what you pay for without a doubt.

Why the hell is that dumb to say? It's my opinion. You don't see me going around saying what you think is dumb, do you?
Regardsless, I just went out and took a pic so you can see for yourself. TO ME, I do not like the look of the outter edge of the tire. TO ME it looks "Knobby." My opinion may vary from others, but I do not think the tire looks good.
Also, like I said, last night I stabbed it without stalling up and fried the tires. I hit second gear within 10 feet of leaving. My car has 320 hp and 321 FT LB of Tq to the wheels.
IMO, the F1 GS-D3's or the Kumho ASX's would be your best bet. The F1 is better, but it cost more. These are tires "I" have run and what "I" recommend.
NOTE: I usually run M/T drag radials for traction as my car is just a pleasure car. I put these tires on to transport my car from Chicago to Virginia Beach.

Sorry man, I shouldn't have phrased it that way. I just find it REALLY hard to see how that looks in any way like a truck tire. When I think of a 4x4 tire, THIS is what I think of:
31" Cooper muds on my Jeep
