Question 18s or 17s Need Help

I Just bought a 2000 Camaro Z28 A4 stalled, with full suspension work done to the rear with a 12 bolt and a adjustable torque arm, and panhard bar, springs are stock, but has a drag bag in it, i am currently running 17 Z06 rims in the front and 18s in the back, they measure 295/35/18, i have a chrome pair of c6s that are 17s, they measure 275/40/17, and have mickey thompsons for the rears, question is should i stay with an 305/35/18 mickey thompson for car or should i go down to a 17 in the rear? is there a huge differnence in hooking up around the street??

I would stay with the 18's wheels because the 18's on the back look better than the 17's.

I'd think the bigger sidewall options on a 17" rim would provide you better traction, but like said above, I feel the 18" looks much better.

yea i wanna still have good traction back there, so i thought the 17 would hook up better, cause the 18s suck lol, im either thinking of going with a 275/40/17 M/T or a 315/35/17 M/T

If you are doing it for looks keep the "17/"18 combo but with the 17s in the rear the more sidewall you have the better you will hook.
