Default Getting 28in tires to fit

I never said my car would be a drag car but..**it happens..Im about to order some bogarts 15x10 and want to run a 28in tire. How hard is it to get them to fit? Some say easy some say hard I want to know the true..

Do I need to roll the quarters?

It really just depends on the car. I've had two cars, same year, same model, same everything, one needed the fender rolled and BFH'in and the other just needed a little massaging on the inner fender.

Trial and error

A 28 depending on width will fit. I had a 28x9 on a 15x10 fit perfect. Never rubbed. Had them on a 15x10 to pull them wider for a more contact.

What do you guys use to roll your fenders? My dad owns a Heating and Cooling business so we have a lot of sheet metal tools such as "hand seemers" I could use them I bet but jsut seeing if anyone had a specific tool..

What size tire? I had M/T DR 325/50/15's on my Bogarts and I had to do ALOT to make them fit, they were wide though. Lots of BFH, air hammer where the subframe tied in behind the fender well to get that back etc. Never had to roll the fenders, but my suspension was setup so it wouldn't squat, it's wasted energy.

Eastwood makes a fender rolling tool, 69TA has one that he rents. I used to have one but sold it to a buddy back home. Works good, any other way, if your not careful, will mess up your fenders rather than fix them.

A 275/60R15 is substantially narrower than a 325/50. I would go with the 275/60 unless you want the looks of a 325/50, but if you go that route, like Trust said, be ready to do some modifying.

Another thing, since you are a M6 I wouldn't put a radial on the back of the car. I would go straight to Bias Ply. Autos are easy to hook on a radial but M6's require the suspension to be dialed in pretty good.

I didn't do much to fit my 325/50/15s. Beat the wheel wells with a BFH a little and bolted them on. Still havn't rolled them.

I run 28x10.5 and I think they fit a little better than the 275/60 dr. When I first went to the 15 wheel set-up I ran the 275/60 and had to do alot to get them to fit, well just some grinding of the inner fender and BFH mod a little. Its really not that much since your going with good wheels so you wont have to grind on your brakes. In my experience I like the slick way more with my m6 compared to the drag radials. With my old set-up I ran consistent 1.50 to 1.55 60ft with the slick. The only bad experience Ive had with the slicks is that ive got like 4 flats, I also have tubes. With the radials i never had this problem. One more thing i noticed is the drag radial wears so much faster than the slick. Its alot more softer compound. I guess your trying to get the car ready for pinks all out?
