Default Finally after much agony, new wheels!!

Recieved my new wheels today. I'll be buyin tires with next months extra check. These are very hard to find now since Ruff discontinued this particular wheel. I only know of 3 other f-bodies with these wheels after searching every site I could think of. I just happened to get lucky & found a guy on here selling these new in the boxes, never been mounted for $750 shipped so I jumped on them.

I originally wanted the DD C5's from OE, but decided to be different since alot of people are buying those now. I should be the only f-body in Oklahoma on these wheels.

They are Ruff Racing 279 wheels. Sizes are:
18x8.5 fronts w/2" lip
18x9.5 rears w/3"lip

They are just cruisin wheels. If I wanna really play I'll strap on my Convo Pros & actually get some traction, LOL

They really arent much heavier than stock WS6 wheels

LOL, no you are not the cause of the agony, but the cure. I have jumped around on what wheels I wanted for a VERY long time. My problem was I wanted wheels no one else locally would have or know where to get. Just to be different. I was almost set on the OE C5 deep dish wheels but one night I walked outta a little restraunt in my little country town of Skiatook & saw a black T/A in the parkin lot on a set. It was very discouraging, LOL.

So then I was on the hunt again, with my wife constantly telling me I'd never make a solid choice on wheels cause I was always showing her different ones, LOL. I stand behind my choice on these though. Especially since they are discontinued, hell even the rep at Discount tire couldnt get info from Ruff on them for the hub rings. Luckily he caught a guy who had been there a while & remembered the center bore.

So I finally found my unicorn wheels that no damn body else in Oklahoma will have, LOL. And took a rear home last night to show the wife. She was amazed & really likes them, so all is well.

I will be running the Sumitomo HTR ZII tires all around. Goin with:

front: 245-40-18
rear: 285-35-18

Those are about as close to stock diameter as I could get & are $434+shipping for all (4) tires.

it is always a plus when the ol' lady agrees with your choices...kinda validates everything.
