Default Anyone running Summit racing Fast-five wheels?

Like the title says I am just curious if anyone is running these wheels?

They look nice and they are pretty cheap.

Thanks.

I know two guys who have those. They look good and are cheap. They also supposedly fit over LS1 brakes with less grinding than Prostars. They are a few pounds heavier than the Weld Prostars and Draglites though; the rears weigh almost as much as a stock 16x8 Camaro wheel.

I ran them on my firebird for a few months. They aren't near as light as prostars or something similiar. Not even CLOSE! however, they fit good and look nice. Here's a pic of my old car with em.

Nice. I knew someone would poke their head out.

I am really considering these.
Anyone actually know what the weight difference is?

Weld Prostar: 15x3.5 = 10 lbs, 15x8 = 13 lbs
Summit Star: 15x4 = 14 lbs, 15x8 = 15 lbs

I have them and like them alot:

As stated they are heavier than your average drag wheel so for the person who wants the lightest weight drag wheel to get that extra .1 these are not your wheel. For the individual who wants a cheap drag wheel that will withstand the abuses of normal roads while being lighter than stock, these are your wheels. I have Weld center caps as IMO the ones they give you are hideous. One day I hope to get a real nice drag wheel setup but for now these have worked well for me.

Those look sick!! I love that look. And I'm in love with that red LT1 WS6 Formy....I've always thought those were some of the best looking 4th gens...I like that look better than the LS1 cars I think.

Speaking of, someone ought to make that style hood for the LS1 cars...they make the LS1 hood for the LT1's, so why not the other way around?

Nope, they will bolt right up on LT1's.

You can get a used set of true Pro Stars with tires for 800$ and under.. I got mine that look practically brand new with brand new skinnies and Hoosiers with about 80% left on rear for 650$..

What b/s on the 15x8 rear summit rims should I go with 5.5 b/s? and what b/s on the 15x6 for the front 3.5 or 4inch b/s?

Unless you're just going for "the look" you're pretty much pissing in the wind, as they are about as heavy as your stock 16x8s. The rear 15x8 China Stars are about 5.2 static lbs heavier than a 15x10 Weld prostar. Converted to rolling weight, they are about 15lbs heavier each.
