Weld Prostars Over LT1 Brakes
I've searched my *** off, and I'm still not confident enough to buy a set of prostars. I've seen multiple threads about having to grind calipers and/or use spacers. Can anyone learn me a thing a two about what is needed to run some prostars on my LT1 camaro?
I've come to the conclusion that I'll have to grind the rear calipers down, but I should be fine with the fronts. Correct?
15x7 Front 215/70/15
15x10 Rear 275/60/15 555r's

You can check out my thread i did years ago on this topic.
I ran the prostar without spacers though. This also depends what size wheel tire your going to run.

-Grind caliper or use spacers and grind less
-If brakes are worn out you'll have to get new pads and re-grind for calipers to rim clearance.
-Lots of BFH rear inner fender well
-Roll inner fender lip
-Replace rear lower control arm (stock rear LCA will rub tire)
-Longer lug stud's
-Shank style lug nuts

One thing I can't figure out. The guy I'm potentially buying the prostars from. He has an LS1 camaro, and runs 15x7 prostars on the front. Why would these not work at all on my car?

Most people buy ProStar because its low cost for light weight wheel, putting 15X7 up front defeats the purpose. If going with wider rim then maybe a better choice would be in the 17's such as 17X9 or better handeling wheels.
